Dr. Donald L. DeVincenzi is Acting Chief of the Life Science Division, which conducts research and flight programs in gravitational biology. Prior to this, he was Deputy Chief of the Space Science Division, with its programs on origins of solar systems, planets, and life. A biochemist by training, Dr. DeVincenzi has spent eight years managing various elements of NASA's Life Science program at NASA Headquarters. He also continues to be responsible for formulating much of the existing NASA and international policy on Planetary Protection.
