Lynn Harper, Senior Systems Engineer with the Center for Mars
Exploration, develops advanced concepts in astrobiology and human
exploration of space. Her interests are multidisciplinary and include
marine microbiology and cell and molecular biology research, exobiology
instrument and life support technology development, and space life
sciences flight projects. In NASA, Ms. Harper has served as Chief
(Acting) of the Advanced Life Support Division and as Program Manager
of the Exobiology Space Flight Program, the Controlled Ecological Life
Support System Space Flight Program, and the Search for Extraterrestrial
Intelligence Project. Ms. Harper was also a member of the 90-Day Study of
Human Exploration of the Moon and Mars and has served on such national
committees as the Space Life Sciences Advisory Subcommittee and the
Aerospace Medical Advisory Committee.
