Department of Botany and Plant Pathology
Oregon State University
Terri Lomax is an Associate Professor of Botany at Oregon State
University where she is a member of the Center for Gene Research and
Biotechnology. Her research centers on understanding the mechanism of
action of the plant growth hormone, auxin, especially with respect to
the regulation of plant responses to both developmental and
environmental signals. Her lab is presently using a molecular
genetic approach by investigating gravitropic mutants of tomato, as well
as isolating the genes for both auxin-binding proteins and cellular signal
transduction components. Dr. Lomax is currently a member of the Governing
Board for the American Society of Gravitational and Space Biology.
