Streaming Audio (i.e. plays over the internet without downloading) is supported for this Workshop. Every speaker has an audio file associated with his/her talk. It is currently setup to be played by anyone with at least a 14.4 Kbs modem/connection. The quality is somewhat like listening to someone over a shortwave receiver (fair but not great). Soon, a higher quality version will also be made availble. It will require a 28.8 Kbs or better connection. The quality should be comparable to FM radio station. Recently RealAudio came out with even a higher quality (CD quality) player. I am investigating using that technology for this site.
This workshop had LIVE broadcasts using the Mbone, Cu-SeeMe and Real Audio.
It is recommended that you view the viewgrahs/slides/movies while listening to the presentation.
